The Hauge Lutheran Church is nestled among the beautiful hills of Northeast Iowa in the picturesque Canoe Valley between Decorah, Iowa and Mabel, Minnesota, where the Hauge congregation has been declaring the Gospel of Christ for a century and a half.
On the shoulders of the Norwegian immigrants who settled the valley, and who quarried the limestone here for their new church building in their new homeland, today's congregation continues to minister to all who seek God and are called to His will.
Although the tradition of Hauge Lutheran Church encompasses decades, it is young compared to the total history of Christ's church. And, although the thick limestone walls of this building have stood solidly into their second century, they only begin to reflect the eternal Rock on which the church is built.
The doors of the church are open to people of all nationalities and traditions, just as God's arms are open to all who seek Him. We invite you to join us to worship the Lord Jesus, to learn with us, and to discover more of His nature and what He has in store for you.
